The Olympic Ceremony begins on 08/08/08 8pm Beijing Time(Fun fact: All those eights represent good luck in Chinese culture). The Olympics ends August 24, 2008. "All 32 swimming finals and the best four days of gymnastics (team and all-around finals) will air live on NBC. Olympics organizers granted the network's request to move those events to mid-morning in Beijing so they'd be prime time here. (source: tv guide )" So, only those events are in our time, the rest of the events are in Beijing Time.

To figure out what time each event starts in the United States, just type Event Olympics into Google. Change Event to the one you want. For example, you want to know what time the Swimming Events are, type into the search bar: Swimming Olympics

Or, of course, check out the NBC Olympics website for the schedule, results, & everything Olympics.

Watch and stream the events live online by visiting WIRED which lists a bunch of different ways to watch.

And just for your own knowledge, there is a 12-hour time difference between Beijing and the U.S. East Coast.

Hope this helped someone out & enjoy the action!
